Fletcher Mackel: 2025 Already Feels Like a Lost Season (2 Viewers)

I would hate to be in a foxhole with a guy that surrenders before the battle begins. Let’s show a little faith in our coach and see where the journey takes us. Sometimes in life, you just have to be tough.

Uninspiring, for sure, but i wouldnt call it a “lost season” just yet. To me, knowing. We’re in for another year of Carr has definitely killed my mood going into the season. Im hoping Rattler can legitimately challenge him for the QB1 spot, but who knows. I hope that FA & the draft resurrect my hopes, cause our QB situation is depressing.

I’m no Carr rider, but that isn’t going to happen. Carr is painfully average. Rattler is a 5th round pick, that looked like a 5th round pick. No matter how many passing yards he has had in peoples minds this offseason. The legend of Spencer Rattler lives between March and August, and it has since he came out of high school.

If Carr is healthy, Rattler won’t see the field. I don’t want to see Carr start another game with a gold helmet. But while Carr is an average starter, Rattler is an average backup.

Maybe Mackel needs to tell us something that we didn't know already to have any relevance.

We all know that '25 is going to be a rudderless and lost season and maybe even '26 will be as well.

There are A LOT of things that need fixing with this team and it's going to take more than one off season to fix them. It's going to be agonizingly frustrating the next couple of seasons and there's not much that can be done about it.

It won't be all doom and gloom but there will be more gloom than glamour.

Sean Payton used to love to say "it is what it is" and sadly the Saints are exactly that right now.

I don't know that, so we don't all know that. I think Moore will be a great rudder for the team and that with a few things falling into place, they can find some success in 2025 and 2026. I don't know that they will, but I definitely don't know that they won't.

While I respect your opinion and admire your passion for the team, I took my black and gold glasses off a long time ago.

I could be wrong but I'm not even a little bit excited about Kellen Moore.

There are a lot of things that need fixing on this team and it's going to take a minute to fix them.

My opinions are not born out of passion for the team.

They come from the objective observation of how quickly a team can take a turn for the better or the worse. Every year there are teams that do better than anyone thought they would and others that do worse than everyone thought they would. It's not as predictable as some think it is, because there are too many variables in play and a lot of them can't be known ahead of time.

Also, I've never had or worn a pair of black and gold glasses, or any other color for that matter.
