That is just a coincidence. Derek Carr is really amazing and none of those losses are his fault. It's his defense that let's him down, or the fact that 40 percent of the time he has to hand the ball off. Thats what Dsnfla or whatever said. So don't you dare blame Derek Carr for his poor record!

The guy was clearly just demonstrating that football is a team game and you’d be lying if you were to say Carr has had good teams around him.

Stop acting so obtuse and unreasonable just for the sake of not looking bad in a debate. Also stop putting words into his mouth and strawmanning the argument into something it wasn’t.

He’s a non-superstar, upper mid QB that needs help around him to succeed, which is the case for all QBs of his level.

Carr has played most of his career for a dysfunctional Raiders organization, and the past two years for an injury riddled team being coach by friggin DA.

Ok, so who do you replace him with? Surely we aren't going into next season with 2 relatively inexperienced QBs? And if we do sign a vet starter, those savings are gonna have to be allocated to that starter. A mid-level NFL starter is gonna cost somewhere between $20-25 million. So unless we're just deciding to downgrade the QB room, you're not really saving all that much to cut one who already can be a bridge QB until next year's draft

Why not? See what you have in rattler, if he stinks then you have a top 7 pick and a clear cap. Seems like a win win to me. Or we could drag cap hell out for 5 more years and keep being a 5-8 win team.

I like carr, Just not for this team. I am on the side of cutting bait and going with rattler and haener next year. One of two things will happen, Either rattler or haener will take the #1 job or we gonn have a top 3 pick in a really great draft class for a future QB. Plus I want to get out of cap hell so we can start putting together a better team, So just rip the band-aid off already.

Look at the losses where the team had a lead at any point. Compare the games lost when Carr started to the games Rattler or Haener started.
Saints had a record of 5-5 when Carr started
0-7 when Rattler (0-6) and Haener (0-1) started

Here are the games where Carr started and they lost:

Week 3 vs. Eagles:
*Low scoring game on both sides
*Saints had an early lead, then Eagles took the lead, then the Saints took the lead back on a Carr TD pass to Olave
*Defense blew the lead with 1:01 left to lose the game, leaving Goedert wide open on a 60 yard reception

Week 4 vs. Falcons:
*This game was back and forth
*Falcons scored first, Saints matched, then took the lead, then the Falcons scored, then Saints
*Saints took the lead on a Kamara rushing TD with 1:00 left
*Falcons were at their own 30 with 0:30 seconds left when that genius Adebo got a 30-yard pass interference penalty
*Falcons kick a FG and win with 0:02 on the clock

Week 5 vs. Chiefs (and referees):
*Chiefs took the first lead, and Saints never had a lead
*Closest the Saints got was 3 points (16-13 in the 4th quarter)
*Defense gave up 2 more scores in the 4th to put the game out of reach

Week 9 vs. Panthers:
*Saints scored first, but lead went back and forth
*Saints took final lead in the 4th with a TD pass from Carr to Moreau
*Defense blew the lead with a TD given up to Chubba with 2:00 left
*Note: defense gave up 197 rushing yards

Week 13 vs. Rams:
*Another low scoring game on both sides, but Saints took the early lead
*Rams scored a few times to take lead
*Saints tied the game 14-14 on a Carr TD pass to MVS
*Rams scored in 4th to take a 21-14 lead

So with the 5 losses in games where Carr started, the Saints had a lead at some point in FOUR of them.
In these 5 losses, the defense blew a lead in THREE of them with under 2:00 on the clock

Let's look at Haener and Rattler's losses

Week 6 vs. Bucs (Rattler):
*Bucs took immediate lead, were up 17-0 by the 1st quarter
*Saints NEVER had a lead and lost 51-27
*Rattler 2 INTs and a fumble
*Defense gave up 277 rushing yards and 315 passing yards, WTF??

Week 7 vs. Broncos (Rattler):
*Broncos took immediate lead, never looked back and won 31-10
*Saints NEVER had a lead, and Haener scored a TD in garbage time
*Rattler 2 fumbles, 1 returned for a TD

Week 8 vs. Chargers (Rattler):
*Saints ACTUALLY HAD A LEAD!!
*Okay it was a safety scored by the defense, Saints were up 2-0 for a few minutes
*Chargers scored to take the lead, and kept scoring.... Saints never caught up
*Rattler actually didn't turn the ball over but didn't do anything else

Week 15 vs. Commanders (Heaner):
*Commanders led from beginning to end
*Haener started but got benched after going 4-10 with an INT
*Saints made a valiant comeback attempt but lost by 1 point
*Rattler had a nice drive to score, but missed the 2-pt to lose it

Week 16 vs. Packers (Rattler):
*Packers won 34-0. End of story.
*Rattler with another 1 INT, 1 fumble game
*Defense gave up a ridiculous amount of yards, again.

Week 17 vs. Raiders (Rattler):
*Saints held a lead for like 4 minutes early in the 1st
*Raiders took the lead back and kept scoring
*Rattler another 2 INT and a fumble

Week 18 vs. Bucs (Rattler):
*This is the best game of Rattler's career so far (1 TD and no turnovers!)
*Lead went back and forth until the 4th quarter
*Bucs scored 14 in the 4th quarter to put it away

So in these 7 losses, Saints had a lead in exactly TWO of them. Only ONE of these losses was lost late in the 4th quarter, most were over by halftime.
