The hits keep on coming for Checo:

Perez hit with three-place grid penalty for Spanish GP

Sergio Perez has been hit with a three-place grid penalty for the Spanish Grand Prix after he was judged to have driven back to the pits with a "significantly damaged car" in Montreal.

The thing about this is that Red Bull instructed Checo to limp it back to the pits b/c they didn't want a safety car to threaten Max's lead.

They admitted it - and were fined €25K. There's quite a bit of chatter that this was effectively "cheating" (intentionally breaking the rules to avoid a safety car to protect the lead) and should have been penalized more harshly.

To be honest, I’ll be rooting for England and Scotland. They’re my peeps.

Beyond that, I mostly just enjoy watching individual players - and the game itself. I enjoy watching Spain play, but I’ve never been able to get behind Portugal. I appreciate Germany but find the whole vibe a bit sterile. I really like a lot of the Belgian players. I don’t feel anything for France despite my affection for Griezmann. Lastly, I think Italy is the most romantic - seeing the Tifosi losing their minds is awesome.

I was able to watch the British GP yesterday. Wow what a great watch it was - we're in early July and this is already the best F1 season since Lewis and Max dueled it out to the end a few years ago.

Yep, that was a fun race. Nice to see Lewis get the win. It's been a little while. Kinda cool that he goes out like this before moving on.
