N/S Giants benched Daniel Jones [Update: Giants released Daniel Jones at his request] [Daniel Jones signs with Vikings] (2 Viewers)

It's crazy that they have 50M in cap space mid season to allow Jones to be cut. Most teams would need to wait until the next league year and designate him a post-June1 cut.

Mara should fire GM Schoen. The three years of terrible OL and WR talent, lost of Barkley, and Jones' contract point to someone unable to adequately value talent. Daboll seems to be a solid HC who hasn't been given much.

You mean the hoarding cap space strategy doesn't make the team amazing? Imagine that. Cap space is overrated. And before someone says it. Cap space wasn't the Saints problem. They had good talent on a good team. The Saints problem was mostly coaching. I hate to admit it, but the Saints with Payton this year and last make the playoffs. The team won as many games as they did last year based on talent alone. A competent coach wins 12 games with that team. A competent coach wouldn't have gone 2-7 this year.

Any day of the week, Give me an owner and GM who aren't afraid to spend money paired a competent coach over an owner and GM who are looking to save 2 million dollars by lowballing their probowl RB when they have 50 million in cap space.

We have never seen Haener or really Rattler with a healthy 1st team. Not even in pre-season. No one knows if they can be starters
I agree, and I never pull for a player to fail, but at this level becoming a viable backup is pretty good.

That Chargers game was pretty close. We had everyone except McCoy and Shaheed.

No Wilson either but I doubt that was a big deal. I still say Haner should have started those 4 games , I think we win at least 1 if he does

I caught that too. He was chewing that like he just popped in a fresh handful of Big League Chew..lol.

Nah that’s gotta be that Dubble-Bubble. Big League Chew ain’t hard enough to be chomping on it like that. 😂

Better enjoy the two minutes it lasts!

No way man…they’ll have a two deep depth chart full of nothing but superstar 24 to 28 year old starters, and a full second team of veterans making more than the minimum behind them on the bench in no time.

It’s that easy! It’s all about the cap space. You can simply buy championships in this league!
