Good article. In depth breakdown of all the QBs. I think I've now come full circle to really not wanting a QB in the first and wanting to wait to take one until the 2nd if at all. They all sound like pretty big risks without a huge amount of upside outside of Willis and maybe Corral.
If the Saints feel different and really like one of these guys in the first, I'm okay with that. But it sure seems like a major risk when we don't really need to take one.
Some potty moufs in the NFL scouting departments.... LOL
After reading all that... I'm still where I was a month ago... If we take a QB... I want Corral... And I am fine if we have to use one of our existing 1st rounder to get him.
I'd be cool with Howell or Corral at 16/19. I'd love one of them or Ridder at 49, but I don't think you can count on them to make it that far.Based on reading the article, I would be interested in Sam Howell in the second round or Cole Kelley in the sixth round.
Willis is the only QB I would think about at 16/19... knowing he is 2/3 years away and a coinflips chance of being any good, I would shop the hell out of the pick if he was there.I'd be cool with Howell or Corral at 16/19. I'd love one of them or Ridder at 49, but I don't think you can count on them to make it that far.

ETA: I'd be cool with Willis at 16/19, too, but I don't think he'll make it out of the top 10. Pickett could be an option, but I prefer the potential Howell and Corral offer. With Winston set to start this year, we don't need a guy who can start right away, so if we take a qb I'd prefer one of the ones with a higher ceiling.
He’s been my favorite from the start.Ridder is starting to remind me of Ryan Tannehill whom Ireland was responsible for drafting back in MIA. Underhill also put him as checking off all the boxes for QB prototype. Even further his stock has been increasing post combine and he's currently being talked about as a potential top 15 pick.
I watched his Bama game and I felt like the game got away from the team more than it got away from him. When he was in rhythm he was fine but it seemed like a few positions like WR and OT were outclassed. Resulting in crazy amounts of pressure and untimely drops that either took points off the board or halted any time of momentum or rhythm they'd gathered. Ridder himself never look out of control or like his world was crumbling. If you read the article there is one description that nails what I'm feeling and it's "he's the same QB from first snap to the last one".
Should be interesting Day 1.
