Great article from Underhill looking into the mind of Kellen Moore (7 Viewers)

The offense will be better I have no doubt. The real question is can he lead grown men? Is he another DA who can lose a locker room or is will be he able to command respect without being a ra-ra type?
Can he lead men who are b/w the ages of 20 to 40? What if he can only lead them from 20-26 and then 30-33, leaving out 27 through 29????

Printing playbooks off the internet … dang I’m old … Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about his potential, but I have to wonder if he ever drew pass patterns in the dirt or with his finger on a teammate’s chest

If he calls a great game in the Super Bowl and earns a ring, the players have to respect that.
Putting together a solid staff will be important too because he’s going to need a lot of help.
Hence why I am pulling for the Eagles although I can’t stand them.

I’m just hoping he’s OCD like Sean for the entire team and not just offense. I trust that he’ll handle the offense, but he’ll have to prove, to me anyways, that he can handle the entire team. How will he handle losing two straight, or winning two straight. How driven is he to win? I saw something that Sean couldn’t sleep out of OCD fear that the Rams might trade up and steal Nix. I want our new HC to be an OCD freak.

In an interview with KOA Colorado 94.1 FM, Glazer detailed how Payton became extremely paranoid over a false tip that Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was planning to trade up in last year's draft to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.

Knowing Glazer could potentially have inside information from around the league, Payton repeatedly called him leading up to the draft, insisting the Rams were preparing to move up for Nix.

"He (Payton) was convinced... and he was driving me crazy, calling me a million times," Glazer said.

Glazer eventually reached out to McVay and asked if he could put Payton’s mind at ease.

"Sean McVay didn't even look at the quarterbacks," Glazer said. "He didn't grade the quarterbacks. They weren’t drafting one. So I said, 'Can I let Sean Payton know that you're not trading up because this dude ain't gonna sleep for like five more days and he's driving me crazy?' And I think Sean McVay, at first, goes, 'Wait another couple days and you can do it.'

"Then finally, like two days earlier I said, 'McVay has allowed me to tell you—they're not trading up. You're good, you're golden.'"

One of the frustrating things this year was whenever Taysom wasn't healthy, the playcalling seemed to lose all creativity. Like Kubiak had no adjustment he could make to suit the personnel we had left.

It would be nice if Kellen can tailor the offense to squeeze some juice out of the pieces we do have.
TE is going to be crucial in his system.

Taysom is a matchup nightmare. I imagine things are a lot easier with him on the field. On the other hand, Kubiak was dealing with a backup QB and 0 WRs most of the time without Taysom. I think he's a really good OC that got burnt with injuries and situation. Hope the best for him.

I think relying on a 35 year old, lets call him a "runner" for large portions of the offense is lunacy and while I think Moore will use him if he decides to keep playing I also think Moore is smart enough not to rely on him to the extent this last coaching staff did.....at least I would hope so.....

That's where Warren becomes so interesting. In addition to being a stud TE that can make contested catches he can do a lot of the H-back, direct snap stuff Hill does minus being as big of a passing threat.
Warren is a 4.68 guy... unofficially
Tayson is a 4..4 guy...

Warren may not look as good in the NFL as he does in college!

Gadsden athletically is closest to T. Hill...

Payton has Mahomes PTSD.

And minus the elite speed, great vision, and power.

Warren is going to make or lose a lot of money at the combine imo. I think he puts up numbers in the high 4.5's which is plenty of speed for a TE. After I saw him toast that USC safety I knew he isn't a 4.7 guy

You’re not wrong.

I will say in Kubiak’s defense…once Olave, Shaheed and Taysom all went down, we probably did the best we could the the players we did have.

Because we didn’t have many left.

I've been a huge supporter of upgrading the TE position, and I still am.

However, look at the TEs Moore has worked with. None of them are stars. It looks like he can take a complete TE and use him effectively. Moreau is a complete TE. I think Moore can elevate Moreau's usage and production.

Now, if we add a better TE, great, but Moore looks like he can elevate these guys.

We saw JJ slowing shift back to a Big WR down the stretch and he got better as he did. He looks like he's lost some of that extra weight he put on to play TE.

Moore has shown he can use a Big WR. JJ is not a dynamic Big X, but he can play it. He's bigger than Noah Brown, but he could be that role in Moore's offenses.

WR1 Tet/Tre Harris/Higgins or Savion Williams - Big X
WR2 - Olave - Y/Z
WR3 - Shaheed -Y/Z/Playmaker
WR4 - JJ - Big X, running plays, Big personnel packages
WR5 - Means - X/Y/Z, see where he develops best. He's young, talented and does the dirty work. Not afraid to go across the middle.
WR6 - Kevin Austin Jr. - X/Y/Z, see where he develops best. He's young, talented and does the dirty work. Not afraid to go across the middle.

I also like the idea of Jack Bech or Pat Bryant. Both are similar size and skills sets which are similar to Means and KAJr.

That leaves Moreau and Holker at TE and room to add one of these TEs from the draft.
