Haener starts vs Commanders: 1 INT, 5 punts ; Rattler replaced Haener in 2H: led to 19 points (1 Viewer)

Jake has shown a level of decisiveness and confidence every single time I have seen him play. Unfortunately he has not displayed the level of accuracy needed for his style to succeed at this level; hopefully he shows he has improved in that regard.

I think we will see a guy not afraid to take chances, and at times will even look like Brees with how quickly he gets the ball out with the flick of the wrist, but we will likely continue to be a little disappointed with ball placement, especially since he isn’t working with WRs that have the ability to bail him out as often as necessary.

We shall see.

For the record, I do think going with him was the right call.

No matter how good or bad he does, the comparison with Rattler will be skewed to Haener because of the O Line he will have in front of him.
If he releases the ball in less than 3 seconds every play.... there is no skew.

All I know is that regardless of how Haener performs, the Rattler supporter’s will have their mental gymnastics to say he is the future and so will the Haener supporters… the two opposing sides are entrenched against one another.
Lol. That's true. In my perfect world I want both to be successful.

Based on Oline performance last week, not so sure Haener has an advantage over the line that Rattler started behind.
That's was bad last week. Carr got hit alot. They blitzed like crazy and stop Kamara on many run plays.

.....So you are saying it is a scheme issue.

We saw 3 full games with Rattler. Have not seen one game with Haener. How do you figure?
“I” think Rattler has more pure talent than Haener… and seeing Haener on the field.. he looks like a smaller, less talented Bryce Young with less mobility.

I just want the Saints to get the best possible draft picks. This team is NOT it.

Get a real HC, get a new GM, get a new QB.

…and hopefully, get some hope

This is kind of what I have seen as well.

I’m usually very pleased with his decision making. He just misses the throws.

This was basically the scouting report in college too. If he could figure out accuracy he’d be the guy.

There were some throws this preseason that looked like he’d improved some but not to starter level.

I think more people are rooting for both even if they like the potential of one more than the other
