Anyone else go back and watch siemiens snaps as a bronco? I actually think he could play well on this team. In a lot of what I’m watching, he was getting no protection in Denver.

The Saints realize Taysom might not be QB1 material but why take a chance of losing him as a joker in 22 if they don't let him be the #2 that he was told he would be? I'm not saying it's smart for Taysom to leave to chase his dream but he would surely be tempted if he's the joker the rest of the year.I don't think anyone cares about losing TH in 22 if he "chases his dream" because no other NFL team is going to pay him close to what we are if he can't beat out the guy who had no other options.
He lost in camp to JW and it wasn't close. He is a running QB on the wrong side of 30 with no pocket passing ability to fall back on. His dream is to play football and his talent lies in being probably the greatest all purpose football player to ever play the game and he needs to play that role and help us win.
If he takes a flyer on some loser team next year it won't matter to me at all. His contract is all smoke and mirrors and his actual QB skills are not great.
Didn't he test the FA waters once and didn't get a bite? Not many coaches can utilize him as well as SP, and no one is going to pay him more than us just to come in and be a back up.The Saints realize Taysom might not be QB1 material but why take a chance of losing him as a joker in 22 if they don't let him be the #2 that he was told he would be? The Saints gave him a nice contract the day Drew retired so I don't think there was a chance for many offers this year, maybe last year when the 1st round waiver was on him.Didn't he test the FA waters once and didn't get a bite? Sort of. It was just a $5.5M contract. But there were incentives that could have raised his total to a max of $12M. I haven't seen the numbers yet on how much of those incentives he earned, but I would doubt he earned very much, if any of them. The Saints gave him a nice contract the day Drew retired

You forgot the third option: cough it up.This is it in a nutshell for me. Hill simply hasn't shown that he can make enough reads. Seems like if his primary option isn't there, it's either take off and run or take the sack.
