I do think the Boise St. connection and his sudden revelation as it pertains to Barkley could play a role in his decision.

Jeanty is a team-identity creating type player he may not want to pass on.

Alvin isn’t getting any younger.

In the end though, it’s all going to depend on the draft grades and how we have him stacked on the board.

I like Jeanty but Saints D was beyond pathetic giving up 5 yards a carry vs run game. 29th in NFL. D line is biggest need and pass D wasnt so good either.

With Kellen Moore as head coach a running back doesn’t have to be just a running back.
Imagine lining up with Shaheed going deep, Olave running medium routes, a decent TE over the middle, and the ability to rush inside or out….or even call an audible at the line and have both AK and Jeanty line up in the slot

Can’t give up a bunch of yards if you controlling the clock kinda hard to be a good defense when majority of the game your on the field because of 3 And outs literally all we had last year as a threat was shaheed over top (a hope and a prayer ) and taysom

Definitely agree, but the 9th pick in the draft isn't going to be the only opportunity to remedy this.

Pick the best player available. If Graham (or whoever) has a better grade than Jeanty, great! Just don’t fall in love with a need and disobey your draft board.

And edge rusher is cool but we should go big in the middle instead
the worst pressure is down the middle and if you can put a big body with Big B we will have something because he’s a talented pass rusher inside

Agreed. 9 is too high to address the D-line in this draft considering how deep it is.

Yahya Black in the 7th would be the biggest upgrade we could make for the D-line and b/c he's not a stat stuffer, but a double team eater, he'll be available later in the draft.
