Where are you suggesting we get them? The only good ones we have were drafted. The others are all league minimum turnstiles.

We don’t need three rookies. We need two “quality” veterans and a high impact rookie. Quality is key word there. Need to stop bargain shopping and bringing in this trash (as far as on field play).

We need to spend draft capital on a guard and a good one. Or some short armed massive tackle like Nicks or Evans. Another with potential to develop.

We really have to draft a starting calibre guard or guard/center. Probably not to start right away but to provide instant depth. Similarly a tackle might not be a bad idea but there might be other needs.

People were talking about signing veterans but when you are $80M over the Cap you can't sign any. Some of the free agent guards got $20M. This is where for a team with our Cap issues having bad-mediocre drafts since 2017 really hurts we have no real depth.

Going into this draft I'd take G,T,NT,DE in no particular order. If all 4 work out our biggest issues are solved. Should have done that in 2023 instead of trying to draft all the busts we could.

1 Guard and 1 Center in the draft, the depth can be added through UDFA, FA and trades. It looks like the offensive staff has a vision for the O-line and the young guys seem to be the ones they are getting the most out of. I'd like to see them bring in more of "their" guys through the draft to fill out the rest of the offensive line. Center is on the list b/c we saw what happened when McCoy went down, we need backup that can come in and perform at or near the same level.

I wouldn't be opposed to 3 lineman either, 2 Gs, 1 C or 1 G, 1 OT, 1 C. The lines are the most important positions on the field and solidifying both sides will go a long way.

The Saints won't be able to go shopping in the offseason for a proven Veteran Offensive Lineman. They will have to draft at least one and hope the group from this year improves their play the rest of the way this season.

If they do it might not look so daunting in 2025.
