Granted. Should Dart tear up the combine and build momentum between now and April, my feelings could change. I saw him play a few times last season and is worth consideration -- just not for the ninth pick of the draft. But Dart is a third-rounder for me right now. ... Let's face it, it's not a killer QB class like last year. Even Ward and Sanders aren't sure things the way Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams were last year. ... We're too desperate at multiple other positions to take a gamble on reaching for a QB at No. 9 overall. That would be a luxury gamble we simply can't afford with the current overall roster.I agree but also recognizing perceptions and draft value can change.
Bo Nix ascended the board and then when drafted, there were a number of observers who thought it was a reach. He was the second best rookie QB this season.
None of that is a reflection of my current opinion of Dart - really just don't know enough about him.
