We won’t get any national recognition for awhile. I was searching YouTube today and couldn’t find any saints segments from the national media. The Super Bowl year they didn’t talk about us until we got to 5-0 after beating the jets.

Even if we beat Dallas the media will be from the point of view of Dallas losing not us winning.

You gotta take the 09 coverage into context. The Saints were coming off 7-9 and 8-8 seasons.

Almost no one had the Panthers as the worst prior to kickoff on Sunday. Maybe they are or maybe we just played above our heads, and they'll still win five games.

But you are correct that it doesn't matter if we don't go beat a team that is perceived as legitimate.
