I Don't Think Many People Want Our OC Position (1 Viewer)

The long term implications are playing out exactly how they have for the Saints under the Benson ownership, we are holding onto to an inferior HC for too long....and those excuses are total and utter BS.....had we played just a normal NFL schedule this year our win total would likely be 6-7......

And your last paragraph is just ridiculous....CSP was far from perfect, but he won a lot more than he lost and we were in the playoffs most of the seasons he was here.....

I said before the season started if they make the playoffs than DA deserved another year, if they won 10 games he deserved to stay....they didn't, the rest is excuses and BS.....

One regular season win is the difference between right decision to retain DA and this organization isn't even trying and want mediocrity because they decided to keep DA because he won 9 games instead of 10?

I thought they should have moved on from DA last year and I saw nothing this year to convince me that keeping him for another year is a good idea. One more regular season win wasn't going to change that. I playoff win would have given me pause.

My favorite part about all this pro/anti Allen stuff...when it ends there won't be a "buh what if" to excuse anything. No more excuses

My 2nd favorite part is going to be afterwards how all of the pro mediocrity people are going to act like they weren't just puffing Allen up.

I ain't gonna say a thing...I'll just laugh to myself.

Like when your 2nd string buddy finally realizes his lady is shady.

This is incorrect. Sean’s first 4 years were as follows:

10-6 NFC Conf. Champ Appearance
7-9
8-8
13-3 SB Champ

You are trying to compare real apples and horse apples.
That's right. it was after the SB that he went 7 and 9 three years in a row with the best offense in the league. I stand corrected and clearly DA is not CSP, but CSP left the saints in cap hell with no qb and without a full complement of draft picks. Expecting 13 wins or whatever was unrealistic and many hear were calling for a rebuild and tanking. We have been mediocre which is preferable in my mind to sucking with no chance to win.

If after next year, there's no improvement then maybe I'll cahnge my mind. Until then, I'm betting on the system that's seen us win more than any other than 1 team in the past 17 or so years.

Even players are seeing it for what it is but you call it as a fan and you’re being “unnecessarily morose”. Lol.

Sometimes I think you just don't bother to read what people wrote and just insert your own narrative instead.

There are maybe 5 people in favor of keeping DA on this board and I'm not even sure it's that high. But just because DA sucks doesn't mean that every move the team makes, even before they make it, is terrible. DA is going to be the HC, I'm not happy about it and the vast majority of the board isn't happy about it, but you can either spend the rest of the offseason whining about it like a 7 year-old or get over it and move on to talking about what can/should be done to improve things despite DA being HC.

I hope you’re right, but don’t see it. Would love to be wrong.

Only applies to GMs and head coaches.
May 2020 the NFL increased the requirements of the Rooney rule to require two external minority candidate interviews, rather than one, for head coaching jobs. In addition, teams must now interview at least one minority candidate for all coordinator positions.

I wasn't aware of the update to the rule. I stand corrected.

'preciate the info.
