That man has personal obligations. People do have lives outside of football. I never wonder who is going to be there or not. Always thought players just want to be there for the screen time and the festivities. Some people just want their quiet moments. This thing is just as bad as the uproar with his restaurant of choice. Even if he show up someone is going to hate on him for showing his face. That man can't win.But it's not a great look when your two back up QBs show up, your former backup, your predecessor, two guys that got signed as street free agents mid-season (MVS and CEH). The entire sports media apparatus is in the city right now and it's an opportunity to do some good PR for himself, the city, and the team. Nobody is saying he's obligated to attend but it would be a smart thing to do to show his face for a minute while the biggest sporting event in the world is being hosted in the city he works in
