Hard disagree....I think we will run the ball plenty when we start getting our RB's back but these WR's and passing game with Carr is going to be the engine that drives this offense.....

Also, I don't ever remember a Mora team throwing a long pass to wrap up a game.....

I'd agree. I think we have a team that can put up points. I mean nobody played in the preseason. I think by week 4 or 5 we may see what the offense can be. Need to get the Oline blocking better and once that happens we'll see things better too.

I don’t get your post. Payton offense has been ball control for a long time and we averaged like 25-30 ppg. High W/L ratio. The problem isn’t in ball control, rather the opposite since we weren’t able to control it

Threads like this are a great example of how badly some Saints fans are spoiled!

They just can't get past the fact that the Sean Payton Drew Brees Saints are a ghost of the past.

They're gone!!

The Saints won a very hard fought game against a very physical team on Sunday and in the process held who is probably the toughest back in the league to tackle much less slow him down to a very pedestrian 64 yards rushing............................but to some Saints fans it's just not enough.

When will it ever be enough for you guys?

You can't draw conclusions for the whole season based on the outcome of one game, when the starting offense only played one drive together in one preseason game. Typical fan overreaction...

You can't make a demand of how much should be scored, passes for, rushed for or what particular player or coach career is on the line for said game.

Dude, Payton's offense was about scoring as fast as possible to run up the score. When our defense sucked we could have used some ball control offense to help the defense out, but that wasn't his style. Why give the defense rest after a 15 play drive, when I can score it 4 plays?

I think it’s gonna be a little different this year, this offense could explode this week, I feel like you have these games like week 1, where it’s just about getting over that hump and finding success. Well we did that and I could see a lot of confidence going into this next game

I have to disagree...........Let's take a look-see? WRs? CGM, Chris Olave, Sheedy, AK #41 out of the backfield, TH#7 in the mix and not forget about #80, The Ginger Giant, JG~! TE? Juwan Johnson is a rising STAR~! "Course Derek Carr's arm is legit! He told someone , while he was mic'ed up; " I'll throw the ball 70 yrds~!". That's probably pretty accurate! We haven't had that and ability to move well in the pocket since healthy Drew days! That's when we SEE those 40 burger #s you want really HAPPEN! There's a LOT to LIKE about this Offense even if we only scored 1 TD and WON by 1 pt.~! The "dub" is KEY and the points just have to come as these players gain confidence all around! I'm a "Homer" for sure but that's how I see it........The point spreads will come! I'm confident in that!

This. You can’t have that many weapons and not expect to score 40+ a few times this season.

Expecting this offense with this talent to score less than 21 pts on average is so weird.
