I'm very, VERY disappointed in Loomis right now. (8 Viewers)

AND repeat every year. Other stories involving Loomis; Saints well over projected salary cap and have a huge amount of dead money

Also, let's take our time to hire a new offensive coordinator, at least until the most desirable have been snatched up.

Which OC candidates have been snatched up?

Remember when the Chargers fired their HC after a 14-2 season because they went one & done? Because that certain coach was a "bonafide playoff choker."

That's not why Marty Schottenheimer was fired. He was fired primarily because he and A.J. Smith (the Chargers GM) couldn't see eye to eye. Schottenheimer went on record saying he and Smith hardly ever spoke in 2 years, and didn't have an actual working relationship. The owner sided with the GM and fired Schottenheimer.

That's true! Still not a good move, nonetheless.

That probably was a terrible move. Was Norv Turner any better? Marty never had a team as good as the Chargers. He could have gotten that team over the hump. Their division was crap. In 2008, when they went 8-8, they lost so many close games, including against us. Marty doesn't lose those.

You know the script by now, the next excuse that Loomis is gonna pull from his hat is gonna be how slow this offense embraces whatever scheme change comes from a new OC. This past year was so freaking ridiculous that it took forever to get comfortable with an offense guys have been in for almost 8 years. All those guys should become teachers to get new players either FA's or draft picks up to speed. Was just totally unacceptable to only be playing decent offense with 5 weeks left in the season.

Or maybe it will work out and we'll have a great season.

AJ Smith was a terrible GM for the Chargers. But he did a decent enough job sending talent to the Saints for full utilization. DB9, Darren Sproles...were there any others I'm forgetting?
