Ingram's Return (2 Viewers)

I hope they don't bring Ingram back too early and re-injure his hand.

How's Detroit's run defense anyway? If real good, no use hurting Ingram. If real bad, Khiry will kill them.

Just heard on the news that he expects to be in the starting lineup again after the bye and that his rehab (which is really just preventing a reinjury to the hand) has been better than expcted" and being out has made him hungrier to get out there and build on what he'd started in this year's "I wanna get paid, *****es!" campaign in which he was beasting before getting dinged up.

Ingram was playing great before the injury but Robinson has looked very good. If Ingram comes back then it means PT and Robinson will get less snaps which I don't care for either.

No need to rush him back while we are at full health at the position.

Only thing I do know, Don't really care to see Cadet much. He is an average WR that pulls a match up advantage by lining up across from LB's and safeties. If I were a defense I'd treat him like a WR because he can't run between the tackles and doesn't exactly light it up outside the tackles.

Ingrams production (6.0 ypc) > Robinsons production (5.0 ypc)

Just a random observation.

I really hope SP commits to running the ball more. I know we're ranked in the top 10 in rushing, but with our stable of backs that we have we should be #1! I bet if SP calls 7-10 more runs to 7-10 less passes we would be number one, have less turnovers, and more wins this season.

It seems to me Drew Brees' role needs to become more of a game manager which means we need to rely on the running game and the defense more. The running game is doing its job but the defense needs to pick it up.

I realize that. I didnt say he shouldnt play. Simply that there is no reason to rush him back with Robinson and PT both playing well and healthy. It would be silly to rush him back even if the odds of reinjury are low.

If he werent injury prone or was the bell cow that made our offense goband we didnt have other good backs it would be different.

Ingram coming back is a good thing.

This season we are complaining about EVERYTHING.

Khiry is running well.
Ingram was running well before injury.

I don't see what we have to be worried about here.

Honestly we have to worry about SP not using these guys more/enough, especially when the opposing defense has not stopped our efforts.

ingram was tearing it up. i just hope his return doesnt take away from PTs touches.

its an embarrassment of riches that payton has had a blind eye to.

Before he got hurt this year, Ingram was running better than I have ever seen him since he has been with us. I guess it's coincidence that it was his contract year. If Ingram left tomorrow it would make no difference in our rushing yardage.

It was a broken hand. It sounds like the only reason he hasn't been playing already is precautionary. It'd be different if it were an ankle or hamstring.

Ingram is better than Robinson. Robinson has done well in Ingram's absence...but he is still the backup. PT's role won't change...he will continue to be the primary receiving back.

Detroits run defense is a top 3 unit. There is no question that Payton will come out looking like a flag football team. I think that we need all the horses we can get and if Ingram is our best pure runner, and healthy...then he needs to be on the field. If he gets 3 YPC so be it...better than 2 YPC.
