Ingram's Return (1 Viewer)

A matter of opinion. I would argue that KR has developed faster and has better vision.

I think that KR has better vision, while Ingram has a more powerful/fast burst through a hole when there is a hole. And Pierre is just awesome.

But here's the things....our Recievers, outside of Cooks, have been a major disappointment. So if 3 of our best offensive players this season seem to be our running backs, and our O-Line seems much better at run blocking this season, maybe the team shouldn't pass the ball 70% of the time every single game.

I have no concern over our 3-headed monster at running back. I am concerned about Payton's playcalling in these upcoming games.

Sean admits every year and every other week that we need to be more balanced

it never happens. at least not consistently.

we all know that our interior line has been pretty bad in pass protection. We all know that Detroit has one of the best interior DLINE in the NFL.

yet we'll still end up throwing way too damn much. even if Brees is getting pressure in his face all game.

During the Tampa game, Sean told.Drew that he'd stick with the run in the second half and surprisingly he did. But I have a feeling the Detroit game will start like the Browns game. We need to come out running. If I see Drew drop back on the first play, I'm gonna be ******

Who cares how fast he has developed? How is that in the least bit relevant for 2014? I am not saying Ingram is the best RB for the future...I am saying that he is the best pure RB RIGHT NOW. The stats before his injury would confirm that. I love PT. He is a phenominal receiver and maybe one of the best receiving backs the game has ever seen. But I am very content with Ingram and Robinson toting the load from a running perspective. PT has had issues with health over the years and he is invaluable to this team, much more so than Ingram or Robinson. The drop off from PT to Cadet is substantial and it would be the difference between wins and loses. We need to keep PT healthy and keeping him in a primary receiving role increases the likelihood of that happening.

Ideally I would look for 32 rushes per game. Ingram- 17, Robinson- 9, PT- 6. PT would also contribute in for 5-6 receptions a game.

But in all likelihood...Payton will continue having our rush total around 26.

First play of the game...bubble screen to Brandin Cooks for a 3 yard gain. Next play run up the gut for a 4 yard gain. Next play, Brees with empty backfield and gets sacks. Its like deja vu watching every Saints game this season.

Or like the Jets game last season. Come out pass happy and get punched in the mouth, while a former Saint RB shreds our defense.

I hope not obviously but I wouldn't be surprised at all
