Murph on topbillin has a breakdown of some of Saints plays on his youtube channel.

I don't want to make excuses or continue with the narrative that Drew Brees is old and his arm is done. However, If you look at the video of his first two interceptions the offensive line allowed quick pressure up the middle. The first interception Pierre Paul did a stunt and the Saints didn't pick it up. Drew had to roll out of the pocket and Mike Thomas lost at the line. Drew should have just threw this one away.

On the the second interception. This was going to be a big play but the interior of the offensive line couldn't block lock enough and Brees released it too early. McCoy and Ruiz were doublteaming Suh and they still got beat.

Isn't that the case every playoff game?

Our superbowl run had elite guards. Now we have elite tackles and it's not working. Peat should have never been resigned and Ruiz is young with no offseason. We need to sign a really good guard in case Ruiz doesn't develop because Easton isn't the answer obviously. Offensively I feel like we need a guard, receiver and a QB. Having a legit 3rd RB wouldn't hurt either because Montgomery & Washington aren't the answer there either.

The offensive line still needs to be built up, guard is still a problem but you can't check every box every off-season, but I can see some reshuffling and new additions to the line this off-season.

Yeah, I gotta think they move Ruiz to C and McCoy to G.

Hoping they get in a more traditional offseason. We need it for the young players and whoever takes over at QB.

Suh! Heard people say he was washed up. Dude had another great year. Seems like every time we’re playing in a big game, there the ____ he is.

I had this random thought the other day about how we've faced him 3 times in the playoffs, with a different team each time.

Can't think of any other specific opposing player that we've gone against three times in the playoffs. I don't count Nick Foles since he wasn't a starter for the Bears in the playoff game, but we did see him twice with the Eagles.

Sadly, yes.
The inability of the interior O-Line to adjust and pick up stunts and twists has been a recurring factor in many of our notable losses...
And flat out getting manhandled.

I miss Carl and Jahri.

Destroying us every time.
Sigh.

Our interior line always gets beat in the playoffs lol why do teams decide to wait till the playoffs or select regular season games to attack our interior line?

In the beginning of Payton’s era he seemed to value the interior line more than the edges. Now it’s the opposite.

Spot on thread and you can add that to the mystery of why our vaunted D line, which I thought was healthy, allowed Tom to have the time in the world.

And I don’t think we really blitzed until the 4th quarter. Although, overall, the Defense had a solid game and Brady didn’t have a pass over 12-13 yards until the end of the 3rd quarter.
