1. Super excited for the hoops matchup this weekend.

2. No on Big Des. Watched every one of his snaps over the past 3 seasons. The numbers not in live play don’t matter.
Zero push on the QB. Zero. None. Not quick enough to tackle runners that fly by him. He engages blockers, and cones to a standstill. It’s not an effective way to defend in football.

Don’t worry about the numbers, weights, etc.

Ya, Staley's entire defensive scheme is that the middle bunches just to force runs and passes outside the numbers. This guy doesn't seem like he's going to push two people back to collapse the pocket and that's ok. The question is, if he gets one blocker, can he collapse the pocket? If not, good offensive coaches will take advantage of that in a big way.

I didn’t know the play call…..but I’ve watched football for 40 years. And it’s pretty obvious to see what’s ineffective.
