Honestly this movie gets worse to me the further I'm removed from seeing it. THe more I think about it the worst is was.

Of the 3 Iron Mans I liked this one the least

Saw IM3 last night and I really enjoyed it. I thought the original Iron Man was fantastic and set the bar very high for all of the future Marvel films, and while 3 was not in that class, it was still a solid film. Much, much better that IM2!

And I actually liked the way they handled The Mandarin...if you aren't going to present him as the magic ring wielding arch villain he is in the comics, then I think just having him as another terrorist blowing things up was not going to work long term.

Surprised at the negative reaction here.

I'd give it 8/10 for a comic book movie. Funny, entertaining, worth the money, family liked it, etc...

Of course the Mandarin gig was a head-scratcher but it didn't ruin the movie. I am not sure if/how they will play off the whole Mandarin character moving forward but they have options... if RDJ re-ups to play the character.

The Mandarin should have been played by none other than James Hong aka David Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China if they went true comic book route.
