I have always been a proponent of taking whatever to get things going. Ever consider Dominos, Pizza Hut ? They are always hiring and it’s stupid easy to make $100 a night while you look.

Many times. Never got a call or email.

I do have a couple of things in the fire as of now. Hopefully one of them pans out. Hard to be optimistic though.

Wouldnt this require special licensing or something?

A, B or C license. Most of them help with training

One option to just get cash in hand is to detail cars/trucks. You don't have to be particularly skilled and the upfront cost to get going is next to nothing. Do a thorough job and give folks a spotless ride inside and out and you will have more business than you can handle. You can make $100 a car wash/wax if you do a good job. Might be something to hold you over until something more permanent comes up.

Update if anyone cares....I like to post some news whenever I get some just to show that Im trying. And it helps calm me down a for a few minutes.

So someone from Jeff parish is supposed to be calling in the next day or 2. We'll see what happens.

Im trying. Even went to Breaux Mart and got an application today. My nephew works there and he said they are hiring.

I've been trying to stay away from this thread, but I find myself compelled to ask: how you are doing?

not to sidetrack, but,
My wife just starting working a few weeks ago (out since Jan). She had interviewed quite a few, no luck, but finally got a job (admin field). She said one of the women in the interview seemed cold and my wife thought she didn't like her, and thought she wasn't going to get the job because of it. Well, that woman the other day asked my wife if she could speak to her personally (position same level as my wife). My wife was like of course. She said during the interview i wanted to tell you not to take this job because what they were telling you about the job isn't true and i almost looked you up on Facebook to send you a message to say not to take it. My wife was like, i appricaiate it, but i really need this job, regardless. My wife really liked her she seemed like to get along with everyone. But come to find out, their boss used to be at that same level until recently in the last year promoted. My wife seems to think she was bitter over that. And low and behold, on Friday, she put in her 2 week notice. My wife says so far, what she was told the job is, thats what she's been doing., the normal stuff an Executive Admin does. and now she thinks they are gonna mover her to this womans spot when she leaves..
I am glad this woman didn't sabotage my wife getting this job. Obviously that woman has never been out of work for 6 months and knows what its like to need a job...
