Is Mike McCarthy possibly the Saints next head coach if Dallas lets him walk? (1 Viewer)

He gets results, sure, but aside that great 2010 SB run, how many potential other SB appearances and wins has he lost out on because he got massively out-coached, his teams out-played, and frankly, in key pressure moments in post-season games in GB and Dallas, he choked. 2009, going 15-1 in 2011 and falling flat on his fat arse against a 9-7 NYG team, getting beat two years in a row by S.F. in 2012-13, losing a NFCCG he had dead to rights @ Seattle but due to horrendous late-game HC and bad luck, GB choked away a near 2-TD lead in the last 4:00 minutes. He had two HOF QB's and all he has to show for it is one SB and that game couldve easily gone other way if Pittsburgh doesn't make a few key turnovers in the 2nd half.

When it comes to winning close post-season games, McCarthy is no Belichick or Andy Reid and he loses far more then he wins.
We need to worry about being a playoff team first. Btw Rodgers himself was a playoff choker. He's the perfect guy to fix our offense.

No, I don't think he is.

I think Dallas will want to keep him, but he may want to go elsewhere. Away form Jerry. With an expiring contract, it's not just Dallas that has the final say.

I like crazy theories, so I say Jets if he leaves Dallas.
He worked in New Orleans in the past, but the team will take 3-4 years to rebuild and I doubt he wants thAT HEADACHE.

If McCarthy ended up here I'd burn every bit of Saints gear I had.

Dude only got a ring because Roethlisberger picked a terrible time to thrown a terrible pick 6.
You're going to burn your gear over hiring a Super Bowl winning coach but didn't do it already when we had DA? That's a little dramatic isn't it?

....aint no body ending their Saints fandom based on what coach we sign. Why would I take stuff I spent hard earned money on and destroy it because my team made a choice that I didn't agree with. Ludicrous display.

I doubt they let him go, but if they do he would love to stay in the NFC and play the Cowboys.
