Is Rattler your guy next year? (7 Viewers)

True, but he's not the long-term answer.
Unfortunately I don’t believe that our franchise currently has any clue or plan as to how to find our “long term” answer at QB 😂

Carr has and always has been a middle of the road, definition of mediocrity of a QB. He looks the part and has some arm talent but I just don’t think he will ever have Drew Brees like ability to watch film, breakdown opposing defenses and retain that information and apply that to a game plan installation.

I know that I’ve had to readjust my expectations of that position since Drew retired. Not just Drew but as much as I hate to admit it guys like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were just on a whole different mental level at processing the game at the QB position which is why they are HOFs. They were perfectionists, their drive, work ethic, leadership, skill set, and rare ability to break the huddle 90% of the time and already know how the opposing defenses were aligned was just amazing.

I think that there’s some talented QBs playing right now: Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Jackson, Allen. But I don’t think that they process the game the same way that Brees, Brady or Manning did at least not yet. I think all of them have more athletic ability though.

All I know is I wouldn’t want to be an NFL scout trying to find the next Brees, Brady, Mahomes, Burrow, or any of those guys.

NO QB this yr , NONE

I don't like any of them either, but I'm not a professional scout and I haven't really looked closely at most of the QBs. So, if a scout identifies a guy that fits whatever the new OC wants, I don't have a problem taking a shot at one in the mid-to-later rounds because the cost is low and the upside is so high.

Yep. I think 4 is about right. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, and Jackson are current guys that consistently do it. But just because they aren't easy to find doesn't mean you should stop looking for one.
You look but you don't pull the trigger unless your 80% sure. You build the car until you find just the right driver. It's easier to be playoff team when the TEAM is good and the QB is above avg. And if it's the QB holding you back you go all in and trade up for the right guy

That would be telling the fans that we don't care if we win games , we're playing for a draft pick. SR needs much more than 1 offseason to be a even close to being a starter if he ever will be

Well, yeah. Which is why I don't want to do it. But some people think that they should tank which I also think is a bad idea.

But, you nor any of us know if Rattler can make a big leap in one offseason. It seems likely that it would take another year, but big leaps happen sometimes. And maybe he never takes that step. It's all speculation at this point.

I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying. I would not trade up for either Sanders or Ward. I don't think they are worth it so I think the early picks should be used to build the team. But, if there is a mid round to late round guy they like, I have no issue using a mid round pick on a QB they think could be good.

Who other than Vrabel and maybe Carroll is worthy of consideration and available?
That isn’t my job. It’s their job to scout both players and coaches and new coaches get hired into the nfl all the time. They should talk to those coaches and if the end of their imagination is rehash coaches then they aren’t fit to run the team.

I would say Mahomes knows how to. Gotta be able to do that in order have that cold blood in the postseason.

Lamar and Allen is don't think will ever do this efficiently

Yeah , because fantasy football is what really matters. SMH
That's not the point at all...SMH

I was replying to the poster that said something about Derek Carr puts up good stats and is only good in fantasy. I was just saying he's not even good at that...So get off my back, bro.
