Local news is saying not a lot of damage was done, that it seems like more a political statement by Iran than an attack, and that Israel likely will continue to concentrate on weeding out Hamas rather than retaliate against Iran unless Iran follows with more attacks.
I've no idea how accurate any of that is, of course.

Read on TG that Biden advised Bibi that since very minimal damage and most were intercepted, that Israel take the "win" and move on. Not to retaliate.

I just watched an idiot pro-Palestinian activist in California mad because they have to go through increased security such as metal detectors levy a threat against the Bakersfield city council that if they don't issue a ceasefire against Hamas that she's going to come to THEIR houses and murder them.

Neither "side" is right. Most of the crap we get shown is from the extreme ends of each side, and most americans are stuck in the middle, and the current theme I see lately is people getting mad at you for not taking a side. BoTh SiDeS!@!!!(im just talking in general, not Isreal) Everything is nuanced, with shades of grey, nothing is plainly black and white.

I know yours is a jocular retort; however, I will respond in a little more sober manner in this thread cos this is an area I have admitted to struggling with identifying the history to all the issues. I have no problem asking you -- or anyone else -- what YOU think regarding a subject in order to help inform my own outlook from a different perspective or to, I guess, assess my own gut check. This is never, ever, ever, ever, EVER to be construed as asking someone to tell me WHAT to think. I think there are far too many people today willing to do just that with a corresponding amount far too willing to oblige.

Indeed. I try to listen to both extremes as much as I can these days before I get too nihilistic. It's a pretty short rope before I get there.

Knowing what’s going to happen does help one make better decisions in the days ahead.
It still won’t be easy, but it makes things a lot less traumatic.

Exactly, and the entire world just saw how insignificant Iran's capabilities are by this attack. I don't think we should ignore Iran, but at this point they are like an annoying 10 year old at a grocery store. Just an annoyance.
