Israel (now broader Mid East discussion) (11 Viewers)

Why would they post that??? Are they stupid?

It undoes the freedom fighter the sympathy credit they have been building up. They do that they're terrorists.

They do that, then Israel has ample justification to just kill them where they find them.

Recruiting tool for new fighters.

They’ve already been labeled terrorists by westerners. There never was any “sympathy”.

How many innocents have Hamas killed vs Israel? Let’s start there. Because if anyone actually cares about innocent lives lost to terrorism, they will start with the biggest source of that terrorism as that has the largest impact on human life.

In this conflict, that is by number, the IDF terrorists.

Yet one side is unequivocally the “terrorist” in the mind of Americans, and it’s NOT the IDF. Despite images of blown up kids. Of mass graves. Of infants with PTSD found in rubble.

Hook line and sinker. Rinse and repeat.

The Israeli terrorist IDF have proven they’ll kill children in their homes, in tent camps, in ambulances, etc. We have the proof of this. Endless proof.

Sounds like the IDF is long overdue for some of their own medicine, doesn’t it?

I’m not mad about it. Unlike some here, I have no dog in this fight. Let Hamas or the IDF get wiped out and I don’t lose a wink of sleep.

But you can’t keep committing one of the worst acts of terror in recent history as Israel is doing and not expect consequences. Talk about “dumb” moves! Yeesh….

But hey, I’m sure that everyone here would feel the same if Hamas were obliterating Israelis and leveling Israel right now.

I guess at the end you were turning toward faceisious for some kind of comic effect.

A point I like to make is that I'm never ever MAD, I can at times become a bit angry. I think you're a smidgin bit angry. ... .

At this point, the point is that both sides utilize terror in their epic fight which places an religious hurtal for both sides to jump over at it inception which has poisoned any hope for a real solution.

Perhaps you see a struggle which has persisted for a few years. A 100 years would be a few years.

I see a struggle which dates back 2,000 years and apparently never will be resolved as long as the current big three organized religions have our world carved up, divided into areas of their empires.

I probably should have said the current big ten of the religious.

There’s lots to get angry about in this world, friend. Personally, I don’t think you’re livin if you aren’t angry about at least one injustice in this world. Now, I don’t know if you find that unhelpful or not, but some of the biggest changes we’ve made societally have come into being because people were angry.

So in that way - sure, being a mad person isn’t healthy. Being angry about things can be a driver for good, I think…as long as it’s reigned in and utilized in a productive manner.

At this point, the point is that both sides utilize terror in their epic fight which places a religious hurtal for both sides to jump over at it inception which has poisoned any hope for a real solution.

That’s one way to look at it. I think that the end goal even if you think it is impossible (and sure, realistically it seems as such) is peace and the reduction of bloodshed and needless suffering to the most of our abilities in this conflict.

We should hold those who have committed evil accountable. We should strive to reduce that needless hardship upon those who cannot help themselves as much as we have power to.

Perhaps you see a struggle which has persisted for a few years. A 100 years would be a few years.

I see it as having persisted many years.

Maybe so. Again, we still must play with the cards we’ve been dealt. It’s surely easy to get hopeless. I just hope that doesn’t cause people to “look the other way” or forget about hardships. It’s human nature, sure, and no citizen with no real power to change policy here is responsible - but to the extent we can speak out, I think we can shift the cultural zeitgeist one way or the other.

Even if it takes time. Even if it makes no apparent difference at first.
