Please forgive my old soul here, but Jim Plunkett's two rings are more impressive than Eli's two. We've said it millions of times on here before, so here's a million and 1 -- if we play sound defense for just one more play against the Niners in 2011, Eli would have just one ring. And perhaps Drew would have two.

I really don't see Eli Manning in the HoF. He had one season where I thought he put up "elite" numbers, and they didn't even win one playoff game that season IIRC. 2008, I think.

OTOH, he outdueled the so-called GOAT twice to win Lombardi trophies and Super Bowl MVPs, and I bet that holds a lot of sway with HoF voters.

As a State fan, he deserves in regardless of my opinion of OM. Had the iron man record for a long time, was always consistent and really clutch when it mattered most. Those 2 teams really had no business being in the SB, much less winning besides him and the pass rush.
