NFL Draft Jalen Milroe? Any thoughts? (7 Viewers)

Saints can't afford projects, everyone contributes this season. If you take him, you're putting in Taysom plays and asking him to throw it every once in awhile if you get the look you like. Maybe you get lucky and he develops into a decent to good passer overtime.
It’s a better project than Ian book and Jake haener who some wanted to start 😂😂😂😂😂😂

There's no way I could say no thanks to a guy with Milroe's athletic ability. If we're talking mid rounds then I'd absolutely love to add a weapon like that to the offense. I'm thinking of him as a Taysom type of player. A Weapon X that you move around and do unique things with. As a pure QB I'm not drafting him early but again, I'd take a chance on him in the mid rounds just on principle. The guy would be one of the fastest QBs in the league day one.

I know a lot of people take issue with calling QBs a "RB with an arm" and I get it. I'm not going to call him that, instead I'll call him a truly gifted running QB. He also has a cannon. But I've watched him a lot as I'm sure most of you have and he's all over the place as a passer and as a decision maker. It seems like the game moved too fast for him at times in college. If that's a problem in college it isn't going to get better in the league where he'll see LBers and Edge guys that are as fast as some of the DBs he went up against in college.

I find myself in a strange position here but I'm rooting for the kid despite the fact the he went to bama. He seems like a really good dude and bama fans were so cruel to him. He caught hell over the past few years. He's fun to watch and I wish him well.

I think I read yesterday that the Steelers are taking a hard look at him in the 1st round, as they may not like the risk/reward of bringing on Aaron Rodgers. He's so much more mature than Anthony Richardson when Richardson was drafted.

I would take Milroe as a “project” QB any day. Sure he has some things to work on, but that guy would be willing to put in the work. Love his mindset, love what his mom/dad has instilled in him, and I love how intensely he plays. He’s a weapon and I would never sneeze at adding a weapon. Don’t care where they are lined up. If they are dangerous, then that only helps us out. This is coming from an Alabama hater btw. Once a player leaves that school, I can root for them.

I actually watched day 3 of the combine and he was to throw a quick out to the left flat. He threw the ball so far behind the receiver that the receiver desperately tried to catch it and could not land on his feet and wound up landing on the back of his neck and then flipped over. I thought the kid was going to be seriously hurt because he was big and fast. Luckily he bounced back up but it was scary to watch. No thanks. BTW, Milroe missed on all of his short passes (WR barely able to get fingertips on the ball).
