Jameis Winston's best attributes: Targeting Tight ends, Broken Plays, Play-action (1 Viewer)

Sounds like reason why a Team wouldn't throw big money at Winston especially without completing a full season or two in their system.

You don't throw money at a player because you like him but because they out together multiple seasons and shown the ability to be a key piece in the success of a team, Winston played 7 games. Bring him back on another 1 year deal.
Winston had a higher rating than Bridgewater in 21' than Bridgewater had in 19' and Bridgewater got 3 years, $63 million and $33 million guaranteed.

Pretty sure the market value is set.

Actually it's a perfect reason to throw more at him than rookies are guaranteed who have never even stepped on an NFL field.

They like Rookies and guarantee them nearly $30mil sight unseen.
I don't know how up to date you are on rookie contracts, but they no longer sign those huge rookie deals anymore (Jamarcus Russell rule).

It's amazing how he was the laughing stock when he was a Buc and now that he is a Saint he has this cult following of Saints fans depicting him as the second coming.

He looks like Jamies Winston in a Saints uniform, now whether someone's takes that as good or bad is predicated on how you took that statement but he is who he is
I agree… but right now… Winston in a Saints uniform is the best option moving forward (or at least the most realistic with the highest upside… and that’s coming from a Taysom fan.

With an additional WR that is legit starting caliber, Michael Thomas, and a healthy roster otherwise, the Saints could be contenders with Jameis.

They could also lose to any team in the league… If I had my choice, I’d rather see Jameis back than any of the rookies prospects, any current option, or giving a king’s ransom for Wilson or Rodgers.

If I had the choice knowing a Full 100% healed Winston with no decline in his ball accuracy and getting a full crop of high quality WR/TE through draft and FA.

It's better deal to me than trading away picks & Players and only having a mid 30 year QB to show for it.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Really???? Please tell us how Jameis goes from QB1 to a 1yr deal and sign's for less money/yrs than the the guy he crushed in the QB competition? At least get on my level.

Was that a joke? Jameis won the starting job. Winston was QB1 before he got hurt and is QB1 now. So, what you are saying is Winston will lose his QB1 status, get signed for less money and years than Taysom. You sound like you are on a fools errand my friend.

You give Winston a solid O line, a Healthy AK, and a dynamic TE. Winston will make do with what ever we can muster on defense and WR. He will take us to the playoffs.

I agree. I never argue against bringing him back, just don't feel he's earned a multi year deal. Resigning him to another one year deal and surrounding him with Thomas, TQS, Harris and some offensive draft picks and FA additions could help make his case.
