James Hurst theorizes on when the players started to separate from DA (1 Viewer)

Ok you know what I really am ready for Benson to just go guns blazing and clear out Loomis as well. If he can't read the room that badly then he has to go too.
This is what it was for me. It's not Mickey's job to tell us how as fans we're supposed to feel. As, likewise, it's not our job to tell Loomis what to do. But the difference is when it feels like he's tacitly telling us he doesn't give a darn WHAT we think and expecting us to just be sheeple as if we don't have a right to have an opinion about something that we spend a lot of time and money supporting.

Not his finest moment, I do agree with that. Still not a reason to terminate him after one true disaster iteration IMO.

No, I agree. But I am not sure he's woken up and smelled the coffee.

Pretty immature sounding logic to me.

I actually thought DA's decision to not run up the score was admirable. Just fit with the ethos I had embedded in me growing up. I lost respect for the players that day.

If Williams deserved a touchdown he would have ran harder and got one earlier in the season. Maybe averaged more than an inch per carry so he could get more reps.

Sound like a gentle parenting “let them win in the game” philosophy to me. You think maturity is deeming your opponent lesser than you and showing them mercy. I disagree. If there were no injury risk, I wouldn’t care if it was 62-7 every game. If the Dolphins came here and dropped 70 on us, I’d say the Saints should have stopped them and that’s that.

Was the touchdown cheap and unprofessional? Yes, absolutely and I won’t defend the method. Who cares when it’s the Falcons though. Don’t apologize to your rival for a thing. You want to win? Get better. You don’t want me to run up the score? Play better defense.

While I agree with that to a point, he would’ve had to lose respect of the players before. Think they would’ve tried that with Payton? Mora? Doubtful

Payton would've gone for the TD. And the players did tell the Falcons that they were going to try for a TD out of the formation. Watch the play and the Falcons DL and LBs definitely crashed down into the box like it was a regular play.

Great point! Definitely was a sign that the players didn’t respect him.

It’s like kids in school acting out on days they know they have a sub.

Not even gonna click to see what he said... It was the apology after the ATL game... we all know it.
I wonder if he apologized to Gsyle when he got fired. Really if he had any fortitude he would of apologized the fans. Pretty lame he was so fast 🏃‍♀️ to apologize to an enemy owner, who dreams about his team blowing out the Saints

So you saying the Atlanta also gave DA some DR

I care. It's called class. There is no need to beat people by more than a couple of scores unless you are in some sort of round robin.

Apparently people in NOLA or America lack that.

Sometimes it’s worth it to get to beat your chest and assert your dominance for your team’s confidence and overall vibe.

Kind of like when SP had Brees throw a bomb to Kamara when we were already up like 41-7.

You don’t make a habit out of it, but sometimes it’s okay to show your opponent, the league, and yourselves that you are the s*** and you will get stomped when you come into our building.

Arthur Jones was being fired. The guy probably was going through hell. That is not really the time to go Gorilla mode.
