My thought process, is look at what they just paid Peat for one year. If they would do it for Peat, it's a no brainer for Jenkins imo.

Apples and oranges.

They did it for Peat because it was the cost of his 5th year option and they weren’t sure if they wanted to let him go or sign him long-term. There was no in-between option.

With Jenkins, there are a lot of in-between options *and* he’s not on a rookie deal.
