Carr's play isn't at Goffs level, so it should look cheaper.

That logic makes sense in a vaccum, but if you think back to when Peat signed his 2nd contract w/ us....he got payed like a top tier LG despite being slightly above average. Skill doesn't always dictate price, the market does. So yes you're right but wrong at the same time. Car was payed top 10-15 money at the time despite not being a top 10-15 QB because the market dictated his value more than his play did.

Goff is reincarnated Matt Ryan... He's plenty good enough.... Just not really good enough.... This is just the price you now pay to keep competently good NFL QBs that "give you a chance to be in the SB"... Goff is one of those...

He got paid as such. The guys that get paid $100 to $150 Million (like Carr) are a step below that - They are the "may get you to the playoffs" QBs.

People are going to think that's crazy.... but that's what they are paid now. Those are the going rates. (Market)

I have to disagree. It's a supply and demand world and the demand for Carr wasn't there. It was us and the Jets and they were using him as leverage to get AR and everyone knew it. We competed against ourselves with Carr's contract.
