Joe Brady withdraws from Saints HC search (1 Viewer)

Nobody ever says they like Buffalo. I been there months ago before the cold and that place sucks. The only thing interesting was seeing Rick James grave site. That place sucks otherwise. He just didn't want to come, and thats ok!

In the Marines, theyd tell us "it gets worse before it gets worse"

That is now the slogan for the franchise I love.

Its hard to believe how far we've fallen in 5 years.

The most Loomis thing to do (and the most surefire way to get rid of Loomis) is to hire Rizzi. Rizzi isnt the guy. Loomis cant survive 2 bad coaching hires in a 4 year period, can he?

There's a difference between liking Buffalo, the city and Buffalo, the team. Clearly, the subject is the situation with the Bills as a team.

If Loomis hires Rizzi, I'll be at the front of the line calling for him to be fired. But let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

1. Kingsbury,
2.McCarthy
3. Moore

Kingsbury has growing experience and is still a young offensive mind and an ascending coach in this league.

McCarthy is a proven coach who can right the ship and has a good staff he could bring along with him (Schotienhemer not included).

Moore is a young offensive mind and a coach's son who's only gained more experience in this league as an OC and working under multiple coaches who have been successful, which adds to his influence and idea of what works.
Kingsbury was in my top 5, but I think he wants another yr under Quinn. I read where he said he learned a lot under Quinn. I think he stays in Wash unless they defy the odds as win the SB

He did, but he also said don't listen to him on who should be the HC and that he didn't have a strong opinion since he thought hiring DA was a good hire and it turned out he was wrong.
Nick says " I don't Know " more than any guy I ever heard of that gets paid to have an opinion

He probably got word McCarthy is favored and the other options closed, so what’s he supposed to say?
Exactly, Since he didn't get any requests for 2nd interviews with CHI and JAX, if he comes here and interviews and gets passed by it's not a good look for him

Brady is 35 years old. He can put up three or four more years of skins on the wall and still be the wunderkind.

Coming to New Orleans could have a huge upside for a guy like Brady. You turn it around here, you're a legend. But -- to be frank -- the chances that it wouldn't work out with the Saints are high enough that he just doesn't need to roll the dice right now. Imagine being 37 or 38 and washing out as an NFL head coach. Josh McDaniels did that and had to wait 12 more years for his next opportunity.

This is a very reasonable take....unfortunately.....
I'm not sure this is something to get out of shape over. Brady was my first choice, but I think McCarthy is the safest bet. You get a coach who is a winner, experienced and knows how to build a team.

Now if MM drops out, then I'd be concerned.

I'm not terribly worried yet.

Yup, I feel exactly the same, I think they better be prepared to offer MM likely more than what he is worth.....

Or maybe Brady does not interview well and does not want to be passed over by 3 teams this cycle

Maybe you missed the part where Brady withdrew himself from consideration, and yes, it has to be because he suddenly realized he doesn't interview to good (or something) but please, before I say continue to spread BS about him, do you have a source for your claim above?

Brady wasn’t getting the job

He knew he wasn’t getting the job. He declined the interview - leaked it to make himself look good and make the saints look bad.

Sean hated him. Probably bc he reminded him of himself.

How would Brady know he wasn’t getting the job ?

I’d start w his agent and see who else his agent represents and maybe that agent represents another candidate for this job.

Yep. Been hinting at it for weeks. Brady just isn’t what people think. He’s not HC material currently. He’d have a very hard time being taken seriously in charge of a full team.

Courtesy, due diligence interview at best.
