Grateful for the memories on some huge kicks back in the day. I think this move was for the best for all parties, some of these hold overs might as well get value for them before contract is up. I think Lutz likely on down swing of career.

Lutz was among the elite in 2018 and 2019 but unfortunately, it's been a downward trend since then and he made himself replaceable with his performance last season. People will cite the risks with Grupe but we can't ignore the risks of keeping Lutz. I think this was a pretty 50/50 call and we just have to hope that Grupe is up to the challenge.

He had a serious injury and doesn't seem to be the same kicker anymore. 2018 and 19 Lutz you keep. Not this version.

He played college in the North (ND - Indiana) in an outdoor stadium on grass. He's also kicked in some big college games so he's got some seasoning.
