In the world where DA said he's not worth the money because he was just an effort guy who had a good year by the fluke of running into some easy sacks. Do you really expect a GM to go against what he is told about a player's ability by the guy running the defense?

Of course a GM should listen to his HC but you also need you form your own opinion. 90% of this board wanted him back. You look at the analytics, the film, etc and make a decision. Mickey made the decision to let him walk and it was a terrible decision we have been trying to recover from for years.

A lot of what you're saying is true. I think the GM and Pro Personnel guys need to have their own grades on our players and have questions for coaches that aren't utilizing the players they've been given. That said, when making choices each off season with zero cap space, what is the GM to do? Re-sign a player the coach won't play and doesn't prioritize or try to find one that the coach will play.

I didn't say he did run into any easy sacks. I'm just telling you what was reported about what DA said about Hendrickson. You obviously disagree with that evaluation and so do I.

And 90% of this board, or more, wanted Baun permanently moved to DE as a pass rusher so it's not like it's some perfect brain trust.
