I’m hoping Staley is the guy, but this is a valid point. What did Staley have to work with in 2020? Brockers and Donald helps but besides those guys his D wasn’t loaded with names. But I could be missing someI just can’t get excited about Staley. He never did turn that Chargers defense around in three years, and the 49ers basically had him in house for two years and hired two other DC’s instead to run their defense.

Well what you can be excited with is Kellen Moore worked first hand with him and knows better than you as to the quality of defensive mind and coach Staley is.I just can’t get excited about Staley. He never did turn that Chargers defense around in three years, and the 49ers basically had him in house for two years and hired two other DC’s instead to run their defense.
I am so ready to move on to Moore and the new regime.Likely to be announced today, staff is already in place don’t need to worry about that
Agree 100%. I could not support him as a HC for this reason. I would love him back as a ST coach, but that does not appear it will happen. To me the thing with Rizzi is that, although I didn't like him throwing a hissy fit at Hayball while others messed up on the same play and he didn't do that to other guys making mistakes, there is more than one way to lead and maybe his way works. But, even if he is a good leader, he showed a lack of knowledge of the rules on more than one occasion and even argued with the refs when he was just wrong about the rules. I just don't think you should be a head coach in the NFL if you don't know the ins and outs of all of the rules. And the fact that he didn't tells me that he's not ready to be a HC.
And that ignores that it's really hard to have to keep both a good OC and a good DC because your HC is a special teams guy. It can work, Harbaugh, but it's a higher degree of difficulty.
He misses home. He doesn't like to see what he built get this low.
Haven’t the Saints told the sports media Moore’s hiring will be announced “later this week”? Don’t get me wrong the sooner the better but now it’s just a formality. Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie said the team will be looking for a new OC. So I doubt an announcement will happen today but if it does great.
I’m pretty sure Moore has his Coordinators set. He was making calls and talking to potential coaches before the Super Bowl. After the announcement we should quickly hear of multiple hirings.
Eagles fans are extremely unhappy. A few want Saints draft picks for “tampering”. The funniest (and saddest) forum post I read was that they would be willing to forgo the tampering charges if the Saints would guarantee that Mickey Loomis would accept every future phone call from Howie Roseman.
What other teams have OC or DC positions to fill?Tuesday or Wednesday. We need to jump on Offensive and Defensive Coordinators.
Tome?We used it as a derogatory word.
Prediction, strong hunch, just connecting the dots, or ”cant say how I know”?Likely to be announced today, staff is already in place don’t need to worry about that
