Kellen Moore expected to be Saints coach (65 Viewers)

Statistically speakingy here’ the #’s.

7 new coaches hired in 2021 only 2 remain, Sirianni and Campbell. In 2020 it was 5, only Stefanski remains. In 2022 it was 10 and only 4 remain. Statistically speaking only 2 will be still employed in 3 years.

From 2020-2022, (22) coaches were hired. Only 7 coaches remain. Thats a 32% chance of hitting , 68% chance you get it wrong.

2025, 7 new head coaches, likely two will remain, possibly 3. Vrabel and Carrol are rehashes, gotta consider them favorites to still be employed based on history so that means only one of the new guys is likely to stick.

And, sometimes best situation means nothing.

Staley was voted as HC w/ best situation when he was hired by Chargers. It didn’t do diddly squat for him.

That means Ben Johnson isn’t a lock just because he picked best situation or is Moore in a worst situation for coming here.
Thanks for that research work EJW. Nice work. That’s really interesting.

Nothing official. I have to imagine he wants some time to soak all this in. Hopefully we hear something before the end of the week.
They mentioned today on NFL Radio that due to inclement weather throughout the week ….to include snow, the Eagles parade will be Friday. Can’t imagine that KM will stay in Philly that long waiting to participate in championship parade.

I love this narrative.

as if we didn't develop Shaheed, Penning, Kool Aid, Turner, Werner, Adebo, McCoy and Ruiz in the past few years.

Look, I know it's easy to be POd the way things have gone, but there's no way you can discount injuries and the cap situation from your calculus.

We literally played guys who were delivering furniture as starters this year.
We're talking about 4 years and this is the list you came up with that we developed? Most of these guys haven't really shown much improvement from their rookie years.

Shaheed has been good, but still a WR3 on most teams. Penning has been a disappointment and can't even playing the position he was drafted to play. Kool Aid has started 9 games and hasn't done anything at all yet. Turner is a bust. Werner makes some tackles, but isn't making Pro Bowls or anything. Adebo has been solid for where he was drafted, but again isn't making Pro Bowls or anything.

McCoy and Ruiz are both from the Brees era and don't apply.

Hopefully we’re one of the two that gets the hire correctly.

I heard on the radio that he'll no longer be an Eagle as soon as their victory parade in Philadelphia is over with, whenever that is!
As of now, from what I heard on NFL Radio driving home from work is, due to the chance of inclement weather, to include snow, that the parade will be Friday.

Question? How much control does Coach Moore receive? As of now, Loomis, Ireland and company have taken over the reigns since Peyton left. Are they willing to unlock the lock and give the man the combination to crack open the safe? Or do they keep it portion of the combination and only give the remaining numbers based upon results? Thoughts? Full or Partial control?
Loomis will give Kellen the same reign he gave Sean and Dennis. He will allow Kellen to put a list of players together he wants and Loomis will do what he can to try to make the money work, or he will tell him it can’t happen.

I think we need to look at some of the rosters of successful coaches. Quickly, Siriani inherited a Super Bowl roster with a quarterback in place. Campbell inherited a talented roster as well and a solid quarterback in Stafford. Stevanski seems to be the overachiever without a QB, but they have talent from being a losing team for so long. Stanley is probably an obviously bad coach, but several guys have tried and failed to get the Chargers turned around. The numbers clearly show most coaches fail, but you can't discount the team's talent in the probability of success. You still need a gifted coach, but it's an uphill battle without talent and a QB. We must remember we hit it out of the park with Drew, Reggie, PT, and others. Allen was just a bad coach.

From what I gather, Moore is making 2.5 Mil with the Eagles. If he's getting triple the salary like Schefter is suggesting, then he would be making somewhere around 7.5mil a year here.

No way he's passing up on that kind of money.
I will accept that kind of money for him. If he backtracks, then I’m on deck
