Kellen Moore most likely to be Saints coach; Saints meeting with Moore again after the SB, Kellen Moore has begun working on assembling coaching staff (50 Viewers)

Scuttlebutt definition= Rumor; Gossip. Did she not say scuttlebutt more than once ???
Doesn't matter. Reporters report what they are hearing. You're discounting her because you don't like what she's reporting despite the fact that she has connections to have heard that, it makes total sense and that most rumors are based in truth. Calling it scuttlebutt allows her to report what she's hearing without attaching a source. No different than when Schefter reports "sources say".

She’s an NFL insider with connections. She’s not risking her career and reputation for petty clicks and views.

She makes a salary and I doubt she gets paid by the click. It’s not like she’s a clickbait writer from Bleacher Report.

I’ll trust her credibility over yours.
Yet Russini, herself, called it "scuttlebutt" going around. She never said anything about having inside knowledge about the situation. So SHE called it a rumor. Get it yet?

He's had over 300 yards rushing twice on his career and averages 262 yards a season rushing. He might be a prototypical QB, but he can run.

Dak has also had 2 seasons with over 300 yards rushing and only average 270 yards per season.
Herbert's runs look pretty much like this guy's

LOL Yeah definitions mean nothing. So , how is it NO ONE else reported hearing this? If it was what the " sources are saying"

You really think that if she does not generate traffic and subs to her site that she's is 1st going to have a job , 2nd get her bonuses for generating that traffic to an ONLINE publication that is solely dependent on clicks and subs to sell ADVERTISING. Risking her reputation and career?? LOL there is NO accountability in sports reporting.

OK football forum poster.

Yep, that's a QB running the ball. Enough of those over a season will get you to 300 yards. Dak's look the same. Not sure what you are getting at.
My point is that neither Herbert, Dak or Carr are the mobile QB types that seem to be the QB everyone wants these days. But with the right team around them they can be successful. In fact I thing the term "Mobile" is outdated. I think what coaches are looking for is " Escapabilty" so they can maximize every play.

WTH?!?! Dear Lord, please don’t let this be true, and Kafka gets the job.

Fluff articles because there is no "new" information, so he must not be sold on the job when the league restricts the hire until after said coach team is out of the playoffs and our new coach is still on in the running coaching in the Super Bowl.

Rattler had 146 rushing yards this past season in 7 games. That's about the same wheelhouse as Dak and Herbert.

Dak, Herbert , Rattler all those rushing yrd they have are not designed runs like an Allen or Daniels or Jackson , or even Hurts

Moore shouldn't be worried about our QB room any more than Carroll is in LV, or Shott is in Dallas , or Glenn is in NY. All Coen has going for Trevor is that he is young. Vrabel has Maye but he's unproven and McDaniels track record with anyone other than Brady is not good. The new HC that would have the least worries QB worries is Johnson and Williams didn't light the world on fire last yr

Chances are we are not cutting DC this yr, we would have to restructure most of the whole team and hold on to players way past their prime. So that gives Moore a vet QB to work with for a yr or 2. And we shed some older players and sign a few younger FAs along with draft well and wait for the right QB to go after
I agree, my point is any new coach should be concerned. Carr is a solid vet, but he’s aging and getting injured frequently. A new head coach has to bring in some talent this season, hopefully a young qb to groom for one season.

I'm curious to why people are looking to drafting another QB. Doesn't Rattler play the role of Hurts?? Much easier to run the read option with him than obviously Carr or even Heaner.

I like how Rattler is getting written off when he did get playing time we had nobody on offense to help him..or even a line to protect.

Rattler showed promise but not enough to ignore the position. I think we all want him to be it so we can get a franchise QB on a cheap contract for another 3 years but if you have another QB with potential fall into your lap then you have to take a chance. #9 still feels too early for Dart but if he's there at #41 and Moore thinks he has potential then take the swing and let him and Rattler compete.

Im letting you all know right now.. dont expect any results in the next season.. actually expect us to be worse.. we arent going for anything at all but the highest draft pick possible..

you know why.
I think that the division is somewhat in play. I still think that we’ll be projected as 3rd-4th in the division by most, but the bars not set particularly high there. So playoffs within 2-3 years is possible. Super Bowl is a different story…doesn’t feel like a particularly talented team right now and most of the talent is in aging vets. I think that Super Bowl would have to be a 3-5 year plan. It’ll likely going to take hitting in several drafts, resetting the cap, and finding an elite QB
