Video Kellen Moore on Spencer Rattler: “Good player, tons of tools. .. You want to make sure he’s going through the right process.” (1 Viewer)

Fans of Rattler will hold this interview as gospel and hope.
Non-fans of Rattler will say actions speak louder then words.
Or fans of the Saints see a QB on a league minimum salary that has some skills that should be exploited to see if there is something there. If he doesn’t cut it, we move on. Not that I’m a huge fan, but Brock Purdy doesn’t become Brock Purdy unless a coach gives him a chance.

Rattler still has a ways to go, but I saw growth between his first appearance and his last. Coach Moore makes great points about QBs just "swimming" the first year.

It's always a great idea to hedge your bets, and if you think there is someone special that you can get and build something with then go get it.

None of that is a slight on Rattler's potential.

I really don’t understand all the Rattler ain’t it opinions. If you watched this team last year you well know him at QB was not a serving off a silver platter. My eyes however saw a rookie QB come in and actually make some pretty damn good throws and pretty good plays with a very bare “cubbard”. So it may be just me but based on the circumstances he “started” under center but I can’t base from my “outside the organization/or of professional football” that a young player at the most crucial position of all American sports is a dud because because he struggled, looked bad, didn’t improve, can’t go 4 quarters” without shining like I think he should, should be disposed of so quickly. fork, we have have 3 professionals that have either played, mentored or coached the quarterback position. If they can’t see results in potential of a QB they are developing, then let them choose, if they don’t feel that QB has what it takes to be developed, then let them choose. If both plans fail let them see if they can correct it. They have to get it right, one way or another, if that’s in house now, this draft, or next season, that’s on them. They have the talent to figure it out, it’s on them at this point. We all hope for the damn best as Saints fans, but I believe it’s time for gods sake to quit forking banging on each other for the stupidest sheet. Your opinion is a Azwhole as is mine. All we can do is hope for the best but at least give a chance to this new process. Vibes matter guys and girls. We all know it.

He really hasn't had a fair chance to prove himself. Maybe Moore can evaluate him during pre-season and make a decision before next year's draft. If he determines that isn't the direction to go, then go for Nuss next year.
Listening to him talk for the first time here. He knows what players are going through and will help them. That's a winning formula.
