A fork has no business being anywhere near a king cake.

When I was still living in Birmingham, I was watching the local news in the morning and all the anchors were having king cake. One of them started using a fork and caught hell from his colleagues.

If we are venting about king cake problems (filling, utensils, love,, etc.), one thing I hate about living in Houston is how Yelp shows the top king cakes in the area, but when you go to the bakery they are actually selling “Rosca de Reyes” and not king cake.

Also, what's this I hear about a king cake that has the filling ON TOP of the cake, buried under the frosting?! I think Nonna Randazzo's offer this version. Anyone try?

Cortisone shots last about a year for me. Since it's my pinky, it's not that inconvenient. It does hurt when it flares up though.

I’ve had 2 of those and they last 3-5 months. I was told I can’t keep getting those so next might be surgery. But I’m putting that off as long as possible. But it hurts when it’s at its worst and annoying.
