Humor Klint Kubiak (3 Viewers)

Our new head coach is going to replace him anyway.
This. This is why we cannot keep it the way it is. If we make the mistake and hire Rizzi as the HC, we will keep everything else the same because that is what we do.

I believe Rizzi will make changes, he just can't now. I think.he lacks the authority to do so and well he can only work with what he has got. Can't get new coordinators mid-season so easily

When are we going to realize that coordinators are not magicians?

We simply don't have the players to be successful right now. It is as simple as that.

They certainly can be. Is it common? No. But there are examples out there. Joe Brady was a night and day difference after he took over OC for the Bills. Josh Allen's career also turned upwards.
The Chargers with one of the worst defenses last year, are one of the best this year under Jesse Minters, largely with a vast majority of the same players.
Even Bryce Young looks like a different QB under this new OC.

Yeah, I'm not sold on Klint Kubiak. I think he is gone after this year.

I think that Taysom can make anyone look good so Taysom was masking a lot of faults in KK's game planning. If he couldn't scheme a super winning way against the lowly Giants, dear God, the next four weeks are going to be abysmal.

Couple that with him being a Dennis Allen want/hire, right there is the proof that he ain't that great.

I'm not sold on KK either. But to be fair, several times a game Carr has wide open people to throw to and doesn't. If Carr makes those throws, and the offense moves, the offense looks better.

And its not hard to recall that Purdy was making those throws when KK was play calling the niners.

I feel we overrate Carr in the same manner (but opposite) way we underrated Red Rocket.

Hill at RB was more of a necessity than being the actual plan. Miller not playing. Williams not playing and terrible when he did. You use what you got and besides Kamara, Hill was by far the most talented and productive.

Hill at RB was the actual plan. They talked about it in the offseason before and during camp which was before anyone knew that Miller was going to be hurt for most of the year. They had him at RB and FB during mini-camps, OTAs, and training camp. I don't blame Kubiak for doing it, he's a weapon playing those positions, but it didn't just happen by accident.

Still, he got hurt and you have to find ways to stay innovative and inventive without him which hasn't really happened outside of the scripted plays to being the game. I get that Kubiak is running a handicapped offense with lots of injuries, but there have been many games this season with 14 or less points, including against the terrible Giants Defense which seems pretty bad even considering the injuries.

I think Kubiak is an average OC and wouldn't hate it if he stayed, but I certainly would not be excited to see him return and I think there are better guys out there in the form of an offensive play calling HC if nothing else.

Sure, but that doesn't mean that what is happening is good enough. I get that the passing game is going to struggle, but they had issues running the ball against a bad defense that had been giving up running yards by the bundle. And there is no excuse for that when the #1 OL was all out there and the #1 RB was out there and healthy. They averaged 2.8 YPC against a bad defense. Mostly because Kubiak kept trying to run stretch plays that were losing yards.

Offense was running fine with Olave, Shaheed and a healthy offensive line, when those bodies started dropping so did the offense.

The starting OL was all back this week and they could not run the ball. And it was strange that KK kept running stretch plays that were losing yards and that he refused to give Miller the ball despite him playing well when given a chance.
