Kurt Warner: Did Rattler even have a chance against the Chargers? (15 Viewers)

"Go fast that way as deep as you can" isn't exactly a "route".
Juking a DB doesn't take that much either when you got that speed and you are that twitchy.

I said nothing about juking a DB and he doesn't just run fly patterns deep. It takes skill to run a deep post and Shaheed has that skill. If all it took was speed there are hundreds of track guys that could do it.

Klint Kubiak is his father's last name. He doesn't have the chops or expertise. We've seen what he's about. Sean Payton would never have let it slide this bad and did a lot more with the trevor simenans of the world.
My man... payton lost multiple playoff games by not adjusting or help blocking and going 5 wide empty backfield every third down... lets stop pretending payton was omnipotent.

To be fair to Kubiak and Rattler:

Our OL is a mess and our receiving corps is worse. I don’t think Payton and Brees could do a whole lot with what we’ve got right now.

I definitely think DA needs to go and we need to draft a QB high. But coaching is less of an issue then talent right now by a lot.

Shaheed has something that can't be developed, speed; I don't know that Shaheed is a crisp route runner, or uses his body in traffic... I know he fast, but that's it.
Shaheed hasn’t maxed his development in route running and contesting, but he’s developed into a very good WR2. He’s able to run slants and crossers very effectively when they’re called for him. If he was just deep speed, I think Tipton should’ve been able to make a few deep plays. Shaheed has shown he’s very capable in creating separation and running the route tree as a starter.

We started Rattler because of his mobility. We know the O-line is banged up and struggling. However, his mobility wasn't enough. Haener has a better command of the offense, a quicker release, and is more decisive.

It's a sheetsammich, We wanted Rattler to be something he's not, I don't fault them for trying Rattler for his mobility and moxie, but it cant overcome his inaccuracy and indecisiveness.

I would say Rattler certainly had a "chance" insofar as he was playing with the healthiest this roster has been since the beginning of the season...but Kubiak certainly had him shackled what with all those called draw plays on third and long. Didn't seem like they gave him a chance to use his legs and get outside of the pocket much.

I whole heartedly agree that they haven't been setup for success. I also didn't feel like we were calling plays for Rattler so much as trying to use him as a game manager. The whole scheme they had for him with the mobility aspect earlier needed to be explored more but this last game felt like it was reduced to simplify things for him potentially. He spent a lot more time dropping back it felt like and when the pocket would start to collapse he was stepping up into sacks. I was expecting a lot more play action boot leg and slides outside the pocket that we got against the chargers.
This game felt like the Patriots game from a few years ago when we started Hill. We went ultra conservative and won the game with defense. Expect our defense isn't what it used to be so the results were as expected.

Outside of Kamara, Rattler is playing with nothing. KK is an incompetent coordinator.

Doggone Bryce young managed to hang 14 last week. Saints offense last two weeks, 16 points

My half paying attention observation during the game...

Haener seemed to make decisions quicker. Was that because things were open earlier, or he's anticipating better? Not sure.
