I love the old school look of it. Definitely something I'm considering. But only if I can get the real one under $200.fake typewriter, done! i need to adjust the strikers (?), but otherwise pretty cool, i guess. i didn't enjoy it that much at all.
now, onto harry potter mandrake (real, keeping at my house). or the porsche 930.
i think that is a more than a reasonable price. other than the keys, there are only a few custom pieces. $250 is a little steep. the globe? yes. that is worth $230 (which i just bought to build to keep lol so that is why i can justify it). the knockoff i built was a lot of fun.
Yeah, they're both being retired by Lego, so I'm tempted to get them now before they go to the secondary market where the prices will likely be higher.

I already have enough points to get a $700 set for free, but I'm sorta biding my time with that. Probably a fool's errand, but I'm really hoping for a new UCS Death Star. But that might be years away.
I revamped my Lego display a couple of weeks ago to make more room for new sets.
Yeah, it wasn't cheap, but I got it for like 20% off during the May the 4th Star Wars promo. That's really the best time to get SW sets because it covers a lot of them and the GWPs are decent.
