Nice! I thought the size of the box looked about right.

I enjoyed building it, but it's a challenge at some points. Positioning the legs and placing the panels on the body can be tricky.

While it's more play friendly than the Falcon, it's still more of a display set than play set.

My white whale if you will is the UCS Death Star 75159. It's the 2nd edition of the playset and interestingly enough, more valuable than the first edition 10188. $1k for a complete used set in nice condition is just a little too much for me, heh.

i think the fake globe came out great. i used real pivot joints and connectors to keep stability in the arm.

smooth spin and all.

I know that set is retiring so I've been tempted to pick it up, but idk. We'll see. Hopefully there's a good black Friday deal on it before it sells out. I love the look of it and enjoy challenging builds.

Nice, I go probably once every couple of months since it’s fairly close. My wallet would hate me more if I went more frequently. lol.

That said, I usually end up doing more shopping Legos elsewhere since I normally try to only buy sale/discounted items. The only sets I’ve bought at near or full retail have been the new releases that come with GWPs (gifts with purchase).

now that it is about halfway done, i don't mind it so much. i'm about to start working on the rest of the internals now that most of the case/keys are done.
