Let's Make a Run at Mike McCarthy (1 Viewer)

Most realistic options with the keeping of Klint Kubiak at OC.

Brian Flores
Aaron Glenn
Mike Vrabel
Robert Saleh (D coord option?)
Bill Belichek

Wild Card:
Joe Brady

I agree with the HC options, outside of Vrable who I just don't think is good and Belichick who I think is done with coaching. But I disagree with keeping Kubiak. I haven't seen him do anything that makes me think he's a good or very good OC. He's pretty average and overly conservative. I like the system, but I want someone more dynamic and inventive running it.

I'm not so excited about kubiak staying. The fact Bryce young yesterday almost matched the Saints offensive output in one game says alot. The offense under PC never stunk this badly. I think even Ditka teams had a better offense.

Green Bay and Dallas? Literally 2 of the top 5 winningest franchises in NFL history.
I don't disagree. Yet he's barely holding it together in Dallas, how much different is he from Allen? They're losing the same type of games, and looks just as undisciplined as we do. No Thank You,

well i would say to judge kubiak more when carr comes back and have the complimentary football of Kamara and Taysom back. Shaheed out hurts our offense bigly.

You know things are bad when you prefer Mike McCarthy over the current HC and I do agree McCarthy is much better than what we have today.

I mean, the offense has been bad all year other than the first two games when teams didn't have film on how Kubiak would run the offense.

And I think his lack of ability to get more out of Rattler is emblematic of him being an average OC. Especially in this last game where they had most of the OL back. Very little play action, very little motion, and very few roll outs to make reads easier for the rookie. He also had him under center for most of the game when he barely put him under center in the last two. It all just looked disjointed with no real plan to set things up. It was just running plays with no overall plan.

And the thing is that this overly conversative average OC is what we saw when he was the OC in Minnesota. Many blamed the overly conservative approach on Zimmer, but it appears to be how Kubiak wants to call an offense.

I’d rather go after a first time head coach in the realm of Joe Brady or Brian Johnson.

He'll be fired in Dallas this year, and unfairly so because he's just a scapegoat for Jerry's hubris. Dude has been consistently coaching 12-5 seasons. He's over .600 as a head coach. He has a long NOLA history.

Now he may not want to come to this cluster-, without a star quarterback and an unfirable GM, but it makes sense to make a run at him, no?
HECK NO.

Massive upgrade over what we we've been getting. Let's have playoff weekends in the Dome again.

For comparison's sake, a pussing lesion in the intestine of a dying rat in a Superdome dumpster would also be an upgrade.

I will say this about McCarthy, he is the the first consistent winning coach in Dallas since Johnson. The Cowboys are full of dysfunction. And he had to deal with Rodgers in GB.

Mike McCarthy wouldn't be a bad idea.
What's hurt in Dallas is that they don't have a solid running back.
