This dude only worries about pass protection...nothing about running the ball. This is one of the biggest problems with this team. Payton is washed up here he needs a new start SOMEWHERE else. His style is stale and I see nothing to prove otherwise. The dead money and pitiful drafts have crippled the team for the next few years. Loomis and him should have been let go 2 yrs ago along with the coordinators they let go. :covri:

Well did we do worse with pass protection or with run blocking? And a loss in the third preseason game means we fire our head coach? Put the pipe down, man. It'll be fine.

He did mention not being able rush the passer as a big thing, and he's right...

Another person that just simply post based off emotion with no factual evidence to back up the stuff that is leaking from their brain to their fingertips. Payton discusses things like this in pressers throughout the week and numerous times throughout camp. It's been a focal point to be more productive running the football about as much as it can be under Payton. It is never going to be his main go to choice of how to move the football, but to say he ignores it completely or doesn't even discuss it is plain false.

His whole demeanor looked like a coach who knew he had more problems right now than he does answers. He doesn't seem pleased with many aspects of the team at all so far and from what we have seen he shouldn't be.

Can it be fixed sighhhhh... it seems unlikely and we are probably not going to be very good once again.
