Mahomes is a sore loser!!! (2 Viewers)

No Mahomes says “offensive offsides the worst ****** call I’ve ever seen” in the video. Refs called offensive offsides on Kadarius Toney on the Kelce catch/lateral to Toney GW TD play and the penalty nullified the TD. It was called after the fact at the end of the TD that would’ve won the game so I can see why Mahomes is tight.
No it was not called after the fact, the flag went up right after the snap

I thought the flag came out immediately

It used to be rarely called. 2 times last season to be exact. The ref usually warns the reciever/te. This season they've called it a lot more (11 times). But, still a rare call. Mahomes should not have flipped out.

That was really far offsides. There is nothing to complain about on that play.

Had he checked his positioning with the side ref before the snap like most receivers do, none of this would be an issue. Toney was practically on defense against his own team. If KC would have gotten away with this than Buffalo would have been as livid as Mahomes was. Allen isn’t the star player Patrick is and Mahomes’ frustration is out of not getting a favorable call.

I know the X and Z receivers check with the side judge, often with hand signals, which seems right since they're pretty far from the 5 OL. But, assuming I'm not mistaken in thinking the offsides call was on the Y, can the Y check with the side judge usually? The Y is close enough to the OL that I could see the refs say: Sort yourself out on your own.

Most times they can but I mean he’s got to see that he’s inline with the center and not even think to check his gate/stance to see how forward he is.
