With all this talent we have we need a 58 man roster this year.

okay i like to consider myself a pretty good saints fan, following the offseason and what not but i havnt heard of this warren guy. i saw when we signed Ball cause he was from CFL and sunseri cause of the draft but just havnt heard of warren. someone enlighten me.

Warren has probably been the closest thing to camp beast on D this training camp. He has made numerous plays. One sports reporter (not very accurately) reported Bailey might not make the team because of Warren. I guess he didn't know they play different positions. I think he makes the team and we carry 6 safeties. IMO safeties make the best special teamers since they are usually fast and can hit hard. I remember seeing Sunseri a lot on special teams in the 1st preseason game. Don't remember seeing Warren but who knows, if he was already a lock to make the team he may not have been playing special teams that much.

It's hard for me to see not keeping 6 CBs we have a lot of depth there and with Champs age, PRob coming off am injury and SUN's rawness we made need to keep 6. I jus don't see us kepimg 6 of each.

The skill level of our potential 6th corner can be found on the streets by the time the season starts. I don't think the same could be said of the potential 6th safety we'd keep.

I think we go 5 corners, especially considering Vaccaro can play nickel in a pinch if we need him to.

With Vaccaro's ability to play nickel and with Ball's ability to play LB on passing downs, that probably saves us a roster spot, or maybe even two, elsewhere.

Hopefully Lorig is back for the regular season. I'd hate to have to carry a second FB on the 53 while he heels. THAT could cause us to have to give up a good player elsewhere.

I really see no scenario where keeping a 3rd QB is an option. We have too much good depth to consider.

Yeah I think you're right; maybe that's why they're cross-training Josh Hill, for this very situation.

What would you do if you had two injuries to D Lineman in a game? You want a goal line defense with only 4 lineman? You can't do that!

Well we carried 7 last year and 3 were rookies. Many times we had 2 inactive.

Guys like Rufus Johnson Jr. and Keyunta Dawson play with their hand in the dirt more than OLB anyway.

Also think we may end up with 26 on defense (24 on Offense) because they are usually better ST players. That would give you your 7th DL.

We're not gonna be able to stash Sunseri or Warren on the PS. The minute either one of them hits waivers, the 404 is gonna be blowing their phones up.

WhoDat, Pierre Warren is a rookie. I believe he was a UDFA, but at any rate he made a couple of coverage plays against the rams. #44 I believe, could be wrong though. Kid made several plays in camp including a pick or two. At any rate, im sure someone will correct me if I am off base here.

I hear what you are saying, but I don't want an OLB going against a 300lb lineman when the offense only needs a yd. I'd rather have a bigger guy that can hold up. Personally if we are going to have more DB's I'd rather it be corners because generally they cover better than safeties.

ooh right i remember skimming through that article about bailey but then i was like , "no this is stupid of course he'll make the team his veteran knowledge is priceless." so i didn't remember much from it.
