Sorry if this has already been cleared up...

The way i've been pronouncing his name is "MAR-KEZ". To me this just came naturally.


I've heard a lot of people refer to him as "MAR-KISS" or "Marcus"....

So which is it?

It's pronounced like "Marcus." Not Mar-KEY, or "MAR-Kis" -- haha I don't even know what that last one is supposed to sound like.

But it's pronounced Marcus.

it's not Marcus. there is no definitive "US" sound. it's close, and you could probably get away with saying Marcus without anyone noticing. but Markis is closer, with the emphasis on the MAR.
