NFL Draft Mel Kiper or Mike Mayock: Of the two, who has more cred in your book?

My choice is Mayock. His overall reasoning seems to make more sense.

Mayock, but I also think some of our posters in the Saints Forum are just as good. Even though we have some very one-sided opinionated folks of this board, they're also very knowledge and talented at what they do. Saints forum is always my first stop.

Kiper specifically does drafts with players being picked way earlier than projected to generate engagement.

Mayock has a better track record and is/was so highly regarded among NFL owners he got a chance to be a GM.

I have yet to meet anyone who works in the league and respects Kiper.

Between those two, I think I trusted Mayock.

Right now, the one that I trust more is Daniel Jeremiah.

I focus more on Jeremiah's rankings than of any mock draft. He is not afraid to rank a guy top 5 even if he is going in the teens, and viceverza.

Kiper was kind of the OG in the space.
Mayock had more success talking about the draft in the media and who would be good vs not in terms of accuracy but utterly bombed out as a GM which is interesting.
Matt Miller is good.

But Jason Boris is the best. By a long shot. There is no runner up to him, its that big of a gap.

No comparison. Mayock was the absolute king of the draft. Incredible encyclopedic knowledge of every player, uncanny knack of picking right, and loved his analysis of player strengths and weaknesses.
Always seemed to have the best insider knowledge too.
He just took on too much.
If his only job was draft analysis then I’d listen to him over anyone out there.
